A stuffed bodied medium arid palate with intricate lemon rind, lemon sherbet and a creamy middle palate, delicate, sweet fruit and automatic acid balance creates a perfect persistence of many flavors. The palate is desirable and elegant yet generously laced with spice from both the oak and the fruit and is complemented by savory, nice grained tannin of huge elegance and soft natural acid finish. Attractive lifted aromas of ripe red berries, violets, mint and hints of chocolate. The palate is stuffed with ripe fruit and cassia flavors, luxurious and well structured with French oak influences, and a unyielding finish. A Riesling of European persuasion, complex preserved limes and spice on the nose with a lenient parched palate that consists of an abundance of racy mineral acid and zesty citrus fruit. The palate shows a good oak influence, alongside some white pepper and savory spice notes. These characters succeed through onto the palate, giving an elegance and completeness with a persistent finish. The palate is poised and balanced with lemon curd, apple blossoms, a hint of lavender and a slate like structure. In our desire to showcase the quality of our estate we have created a series of single vineyard wines. Our X by Xabregas wines are the ultimate expression of the vineyard and are crafted with minimal intervention to showcase each variety and the unique vineyard from which they have evolved. This Riesling is cut from a different cloth, a mixture of classic citrus, talcum powder and red apple, with nuances of smoky oak and Camembert cheese. Fruit, oak and tannin are healthy integrated, big-hearted this wine a appropriate structure and finish. It’s a wine that drives with steady confidence but also shows gorgeous sweet fruit underlying.
